Notes about the “Good Stuff” from the Bible
Inspirational
Softcover: 124 pages
Dimensions: 5 x 7
ISBN: 978-1-937449-15-5
Author: Carol Weast
Many books provide specific scriptures to meet all kinds of needs, and so does Post-its to Ponder. Such books contain Bible verses that are often paraphrased and usually don't include any explanatory notes with them. Because notes about each verse are important to most people, author Carol Weast included her commentary for all her favorite verses using a Bible that had been given to her long ago.
Author Carol Weast says, “I was amazed that I was able to finish this book by Easter! Now that it is done, I find myself coming across even more verses that could be included; however, I am going to leave it as it is. There is always more to discover in the Bible, and I hope that now someone else will be inspired to find out, by themselves, what wonderful “nuggets” there are in the Bible.

A Christian Handbook for Men
Inspirational
Softcover: 54 pages
Dimensions: 5 x 8
ISBN: 978-1-937449-05-6
Author: Jennie Staten
The purpose of this handbook is to help men understand their role in the home, both spiritually and physically. Man's first duty and obligation is to God. Secondly, it is to his wife; not his children, job, mom, dad, sister, brother, friend, etc.! The relationship between the husband and wife will have the greatest influence on the children. The home is the training ground and Mom and Dad have control. You can train your children to be honest, dishonest, loving, or hateful by what you demonstrate to them in the home. Reviews of Jennie Staten's "I Am Responsible" have said, "Wonderfully anointed," "for the man on the go," and "should be required reading."
Jennie Staten is a believer and loves to share the hope given to us by trusting in Jesus Christ. Jennie leads a women’s bible study, serves on the first impressions team at her church, and is active in volunteer services around her community. She has written one other book: Mama Come Home and God has given her the title for her third book.
Jennie shares the passion that Jesus has for all His creation; that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Seven Women Gathered in Asheville, NC, to Share their Experiences of Faith
Memoir (Western North Carolina Writers Group)
Softcover: 126 pages

When God’s people crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land, God told Joshua to choose 12 men, one from each tribe, have each one take a stone from the middle of the river, and carry it to their campsite that night. Joshua 4:6–7 from The Good News Bible says: “These stones will remind the people of what the LORD has done. In the future, when your children ask what these stones mean to you, you will tell them that the water of the Jordan stopped flowing when the LORD’S Covenant Box crossed the river. These stones will always remind the people of Israel of what happened here.”

What do the Stones of Remembrance mean to us? God is faithful and with us always.
Seven Christian women gathered together in the winter of 2013 to write their memoirs. Although they came from different states, backgrounds, careers, and churches, they discovered that God has been with them throughout the ups and downs of their lives. Stones of Remembrance is an anthology of some of their most precious stones remembered—moments shared with God. These are true stories from their lives.

“We hope our experiences will encourage you to seek and discover how God has been with you in your life.”

Sixteen Present-day Testimonies about His Divine Intervention
Inspirational
Softcover: 142 pages
Dimensions: 5.5 x 8.5
ISBN: 978-1-937449-27-8
Author: G. Warren Sears
The people you'll meet in these pages have high hopes that their stories will give readers a faith-lift. These stories demonstrate the awesome power of prayer. Many readers will identify with someone in these stories. These stories include a variety of miracles. In a few cases, it was the Lord, "Doctor Jesus," working alone, who pushed aside the enemy. In other cases, it was the teamwork of down-to-earth doctors and nurses used by Jesus to facilitate healing. Medical professionals did not always offer hope. In these real stories, some actually pronounced patients dead. However, the miracles had one thing in common: Someone was calling on Doctor Jesus. Countless mysteries are associated with the subject of divine healing. No one understands why God heals some people, but not others; or why God allows some faithful Christians to suffer, yet He often seems to bless the lives of unbelievers. We just need to acknowledge that God's ways are higher than ours, and these mysteries are simply beyond our understanding. How can we possibly understand the One who created the whole universe; everything that lives; everything that breathes? One thing we know for sure: God loves us more than we can imagine, and He has a wonderful purpose for our lives when we put our lives in His hands. As we study the examples of Jesus healing various people in the Bible, we learn that the key is faith. Some were healed because of their personal faith; some were healed by the faith of Jesus or His disciples; and some were healed by the faith of a loved one. These same principles hold true today. Faith itself is a spiritual gift from God. So if we are weak in faith, we can ask God to increase our faith...and He will.
G. Warren Sears was the right person to compile this book. For the past sixty years, Warren’s life has prepared him in several ways for the job at hand.

A WWII veteran, Warren gave his heart to God in 1953. Ever since, he has sought to convince people that Jesus Christ is truly Who the Bible says He is. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die.” (John 11:25 KJV) In his first book, “Adventures of a Witness for Jesus,” Warren offers creative ideas on sharing with others the love, joy, and peace of knowing the God of the universe.

About thirteen years ago, Warren was hit with a type of cancer that was so rare that his doctors were not sure how to treat it. One evening, Warren was invited to a dinner meeting where the speaker told several stories about God using him to pray for people. Warren asked for prayer. Three days later all his symptoms were gone! So he knows firsthand the power of praying to Doctor Jesus.

When George Cupp first told Warren about George, Jr.’s accident and miraculous healing, God placed on Warren’s heart the urge to write this book. At first, he felt incapable of doing the job. One day, Wendy Agard visited his church. The moment Warren met her, he heard God say, “She will help you write the book.” Wendy is not only an excellent proofreader, she is also a registered nurse. She was a tremendous help to Warren, throughout.

Warren’s prayer is that God will touch the heart of every one who reads this book. They will be convinced that Jesus is truly the Son of God and they will open their heart to receive Him and make Him the Lord of their life.

It doesn't take the tallest, most nicely decorated Christmas tree to be special
Children's Christmas Story Picture-Book
Hardbound: 34 pages
Dimensions: 8.5 x 8.5
ISBN: 978-1-937449-25-4
Author: Zeata Ruff. Illustrated by Jim & Zeata Ruff.
During the early 1930's through the 1970's, it was tradition in the Southern Appalachian Mountains for families to find a thorn bush when they went into the mountains to cut their Christmas tree. They would decorate the sharp spires with colorful gumdrops for the children to enjoy. THE GUMDROP TREE is the story of a young girl who wanted to find the tallest, fattest, most beautiful Christmas tree of anyone in her town. It had to be very special. In this tale, Susie takes a long time to pick out the perfect tree for her family. After the tree stands in the corner with its shinny decorations, her mother sends her next door with a food basket for an elderly neighbor. Susie is very reluctant to leave her beautiful tree. Upon arriving at the neighbor's house, Susie discovers the scraggly branch that that Miss Martha calls her Christmas tree. On her way home, she tries to figure out what she can do so that the elderly lady can have a colorful tree. THE GUMDROP TREE is written for children from the age of 4 to 13. It teaches that sometimes it does not take the tallest, fattest, most beautifully decorated Christmas tree to be special.
Jim and Zeata Ruff (The Fun Art People) specialize in personalizing art work. The operate a unique art enterprise called Grins and Giggles, in which they are joined by daughter, Tyla, and her husband Jason Moody. Their double-matted prints, especially the Christmas prints, are very popular at major art shows and festivals across the Mid Atlantic states. The prints are personalized (while the customer shops) with Santa’s list, home signs, street signs, mail boxes and other unique methods.

Grins and Giggles’ home base is located in Clyde, a small quiet village nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, an area where art is very prevalent to the culture. You might even consider “Grins and Giggles” a cottage industry, being that their studio and mat cutting shop are located in their home. Both Jim and Zeata are retired from the public schools where they both have been art teachers and are now doing what they love most: providing chuckles and putting smiles on faces of those who just happen to come in contact with their art work.

Life, Love, and Loyalty are at risk for Todd & Sarah in the Smoky Mountains of 1783
Historical Fiction
Softcover: 242 pages
Dimensions: 6x9
ISBN: 978-1-937449-17-9
Author: Nathan B. Tracy
In 1783, Todd and Sarah, meet in the wilderness of the Smoky Mountains. Todd, an honored graduate of a military academy, is accused of the attempted murder of British Loyalist, Lord Wellington Howe's son, and the young couple is forced to flee with a posse close behind. Meanwhile, thugs search for sixteen-year-old Sarah Tranthem. Days later, Todd, with the help of two dogs, prevents Sarah's rape and murder. They agree to travel together for protection while Todd searches for a hidden valley-fighting off pursuers-braving the elements in a sparsely populated mountain wilderness. Todd and Sarah homestead the valley, beset by bears, horse thieves, a corrupt sheriff, and gangs still determined to kill them. The labor, hardships, and dangers draw them closer together. Providence intervenes. The pursuers attempt to destroy the young adults for several years until their failed efforts of revenge provoke them to arrange a sham trial to hang Todd's patriot father-Captain Gilbert Casey. Todd and Sarah leave their valley to make the long and difficult trip through the primitive mountain roads and the Shenandoah Valley to Richmond where Gilbert is to stand trial. The trial begins, rigged by a corrupt judge and false witnesses. It ends with gunshots. Their enemy escapes by taking command of a well-armed ship. In desperation, he challenges an American vessel. Cannon smoke drifts across the sea.
Nate was raised in the mountains and his first home had gravity-fed water from a spring, two privies, and a wood-burning cooking stove. They had no electricity, used kerosene lamps and farmed with horses. He has owned his own home in the Smoky Mountains since 1985 after many years as a marine insurance adjuster in Florida handling claims on ships, work boats, and yachts. He loves to visit pioneer museums and read stories of the area from the revolutionary times to the present. He likes horse and oxen pulls better than tractor pulls. He enjoys the writing of John Fox Jr., particularly The Trail of the Lonesome Pine, an authentic mountain story of the 1880's.

How was R.L. to know that a yearlong grudge would end in two murders?
Historical Christian Fiction
Softcover: 202 pages
Dimensions: 6 x 9
ISBN: 978-1-937449-20-9
Authors: Members of the Christian Writers Fellowship of Western North Carolina
The Crawford family, Mom, Dad, and all seven children live at the END OF THE ROAD in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina. They are typical of the other families living in the quiet, laid-back town of Hazelgrove, which is made up mostly of farmers. Work, school, church, and family are the most important parts of their lives. That is, except for the Hall family. David Lee Hall, a gruff husband and father, is the closest neighbor of the Crawfords. Physically and verbally abusive to both his wife and sons, he thinks farming is for the ignorant and that he is far superior because he makes moonshine, the crop that "takes a lot less work and gives a lot more pleasure." The grudge-driven year for David Lee begins in January 1949, when R.L. Crawford denies him one of his prize-winning puppies. It ends with a mysterious murder, the second in Hazelgrove in less than a month.
Author Zeata Ruff, a native of western North Carolina, has been fortunate enough to have great storytellers as a part of her life. In the END OF THE ROAD, she has taken these stories, changed them some, and made up a few of her own in order for the reader to understand what life was like in the Smoky Mountains during this period. Zeata, a cancer survivor and liver transplant recipient, feels that God must have had a purpose in saving her life and maybe finally finishing this story is a part of it.Crawford denies him one of his prize-winning puppies. It ends with a mysterious murder, the second in Hazelgrove in less than a month.

Reflections on growing old with a soul that is happily ready to listen to its Lord
Christian Life & Growth (Tennessee Writers Group)
Softcover: 108 pages
Dimensions: 5.5 x 8.5
ISBN: 978-1-937449-14-8
Author: Members of the "Growing Old with God" project
The Joy of Growing Old with God, captures the reflections of several people who have found joy in the aging process. The authors wanted to provide a story that would encourage and inspire their children, their children's children, and others of the joys they were experiencing as they passed through this time in their life. They focus their reflections on how their relationship with God has influenced their perspective of these years. The authors believe that age strips away the pretense of younger years and leaves bare the soul that is happily ready to listen to its Lord and Master. Even though the latter years may be filled with some medical issues and other challenges, these authors believe that their lives now are bigger, better, and more profound than they were when they were younger. Through these letters, poems, testimonials, and essays, they share the spirit and enthusiasm they have for life with God in their later years. [from the Foreword by Ronald Lukat]

Although the subject of this first book is self-editing, many of the editing decisions derive from proven scientific data obtained through computational linguistics research. This is intentional. The series will gradually introduce you to an approach to writing that is focused on shaping your content into the form that will best communicate to your readers. Each succeeding book in the series will disclose more of the results of twelve years of research into bestsellers, both fiction and nonfiction, using proprietary software—an expert system that has undergone six years of development beyond the version that we released at FictionFixer.com.
CHRIS YAVELOW has worked in every aspect of the book business and has more than a dozen books to his credit. Since 2000, he has been developing an unprecedented software tool for authors: FictionFixer.com. In 2007, he launched YAV Publications, an author-friendly, digital publishing company with extremely high standards. He teaches online for the University of Maryland University College where he is a Full Professor. His courses are "Music as Cultural Expression" and "Digital Media." The Sensing, Saintsing, and Sansing Family History
Reference: Genealogy
Hardcover: 600 pages
Dimensions: 8.5 x 11
ISBN: 978-0-9790221-9-7
Author/Editor: Pat K. Sensing
This new edition of the Sensing family genealogy, published in 2011 and re-titled as The Sensing, Saintsing, and Sansing Family, adds more than 260 pages to the previous 336-page edition: The Sensing Family 1705 to Present, chronicled by Mamie Crues Davidson and printed in the mid-1990s.

New material that has been gathered and assembled by Pat K. Sensing and his son Pat II includes updates to the earlier volume, many new photographs, and numerous historical documents. Throughout the preparation of this volume, advances of technology, such as the Internet, enabled a much wider exchange of information than was possible with the tools available in the mid-1990s. As more branches of the family were revealed through this expanded sharing of knowledge, the interconnections to and significance of the Sansing and Saintsing lines was established, hence the renaming of the book to its present title, The Sensing, Saintsing, and Sansing Family.

State-of-the-art image processing software has been used to restore and enhance, as much as possible, the images and text throughout. One example of such is the removal of the dot-screen effect prevalent on photographs accompanying the many newspaper clippings reproduced herein.

A sailing adventure, a pack of dogs, and a war with a drug runner!
Fiction: Adventure
Softcover: 210 pages
Dimensions: 6 x 9
ISBN: 978-0-9790221-8-0
Author: Nathan B. Tracy
A sailing adventure ends as a pack of dogs wins the war with drug runners while saving their Pack Leader in the Everglades swamp.

While investigating an insurance claim, Bart Casey is marked for death by a drug lord named King. Accompanied by his two dogs, Dutch and Kate, Bart sails his boat, the Pelican, down the Florida coast. King makes several attempts to sink Bart’s sailboat and kill Bart and his dogs.

Bart is shot and King's boat is damaged. The Pelican drifts into the Everglades, grounding deep in the swamp at an Indian mound. A pack of dogs meets the boat.

Meanwhile, King searches for the Pelican intent on disposing of Bart. The dogs intervene.

While the pack fights for Bart’s life, he experiences visions of his life and of a peculiar man with many names. He has only a shadowy knowledge of what is happening in reality beyond the smells of dog breath and peanut butter.
For more than thirty years, Dr. Nathan B. Tracy was a marine insurance adjuster and marine surveyor working out of Tampa, Florida. He owned, rebuilt, and sailed several boats, including one named “Pelican.”

He handled vessel casualties and cargo claims throughout the South East and the Bahamas, sometimes traveling to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Martinique, and Venezuela.

Nathan and his wife, Martha, live on a mountain in Western North Carolina. Although born in Florida, he now prefers the cool mountain air.

A prophetic and poetic journey into the heart of God awaits you. Words of Love is a series of poems given to the author from God on several topics. It is sure to bring out points of discussion for those who read it and share it with others. Remember how poetic God is in the Psalms and Songs of Solomon? We see our creator portrayed as a wooing lover, seeking the world into an intimate relationship with him. In Words of Love, he is still saying, “I love you.”
Michael Lee is a lover of God and prayer. He is a passionate recipient of Heaven’s mercy and grace, and he has been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for over a quarter of a century. Michael Lee resides in Indianapolis, Indiana, with his wife, Angela.

Do Christians Go to Heaven?
This book will show you the differences between religion, tradition, and relationship, and reveals which one of these three will bring you into the kingdom of God.

Mixing the Bible with Your Life
This book will inspire you and your children about what can be done to have a better life and not to make the same mistakes I did in my life—the mistakes most of us have made, even mothers and daddies and some of your friends.

The primary purpose of this book is to bring you to a place of peace and joy that awaits us all if only we will listen when the Spirit of the living God speaks—if only we will take the time to read and listen to the words He has inspired within me.
Harold E. Willett, Jr. has a calling from God to go out into the world to preach and teach the true meaning of having a relationship with God rather than having a relationship with a religion. Harold believes it’s an honor and a privilege to have God speak through him and realizes God can and will use anybody who is ready to sacrifice himself or herself for His will with the goal of saving lives.

Children are our nation's future leaders. Me must prepare them for greatness!
Family: Christian Parenting
Softcover: 152 pages

ISBN: 978-0-9790221-3-5
Author: Lynn "Raynee" Gloden, creator of
The Mask Program
Our children are in trouble. They are at best rude, defiant, disrespectful, and unable to accept responsibility for anything they do: it's always someone else's fault. These children are our nation's future leaders; we as parents, must prepare them so that they can be great leaders. We need to get back to the basics, back to values, back to the only parenting book that hasn't changed techniques or tactics since its conception—the Bible.

I've spent twenty-three years in school and hundreds of thousands of dollars to discover how to be a good parent. I've studied the human brain, psychology, sociology, criminology, behavior modification, effective communication, self-esteem, empowerment, and more. Know where I found all the answers? In my $12.00 Bible. I'll show you where I found the answers if you agree to take this journey with me.
Lynn “Raynee” Gloden, MA, has worked extensively with families consisting of “difficult” children who have multiple mental health diagnoses. She obtained her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, while serving as the President of the Chi Sigma Iota honor society. At the time of this writing, she is pursuing her Doctorate at Argosy University. At the request of parents with whom she has worked, Mrs. Gloden developed a seminar that highlights the do’s and don’ts of parenting. She is the creator of the Mask Program, an accountability and self-respect program designed to assist parents with the development of their children’s character and values. The President of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Dr. Arrendondo, selected Raynee to present The Mask Program at the ACA in Canada. Raynee and her husband James have two children, one an adult, the other a teenager, and one granddaughter they absolutely adore. They live in Hughesville, Maryland.

52 true stories show how God empowers His people... to be witnesses!
Family: Christian Evangelism
Softcover: 192 pages (also
available for the Kindle)
Dimensions: 5.5. x 8.5
ISBN: 978-0-9790221-2-8
Author G. Warren Sears
These stories, selected from Warren’s journals, show how God works today in a wide variety of situations. Although prayer and dependence upon the Holy Spirit is still the master plan for leading lost souls to our wonderful Savior, this book will give you fresh ideas and new concepts that make witnessing a win-win ministry. The second story shows how meditation on one verse of scripture empowers you to overcome any fear. You will learn how God makes divine appointments for you—and even puts words in your mouth.

It’s marvelous to see the change in someone’s life when they fall in love with Jesus. And to know you had a part somewhere in the process—planting, watering, or harvesting is joy unspeakable!  By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit. (John 15:8).
Before WWII, Warren lived in a dream world of art and music. But when he saw 185 shipmates get killed by a torpedo in the Pacific, his eyes were opened to the terrible forces of evil that are destroying the world. At age 29, he had a sweet wife who loved him, a new baby boy, and he became born again. Realizing Jesus is the only solution for this sin-sick world, he dreamed of doing big things for God—like preaching to multitudes á là Billy Graham. But the Lord had other plans for him.

Although he supported his family as an advertising artist and part-time musician, God began to use his witness in unique ways. Upon retiring, he began an open-air ministry called Operation Salt and Light. Now, some of his activities include ministry every Sunday morning to juveniles in a detention facility in Southern Maryland, leading small group studies in evangelism at church, and motivational talks to Christians.

At the age of twelve, Stuart Pierce prayed to God that his parents wouldn’t divorce during a trial separation. God seemed to comply; his parents reconciled. The incident clashed with his atheistic upbringing, leaving Stuart with many questions. Now, as a twenty-year-old college student, he seeks answers. Best friend Roger Warren travels with him on a spiritual quest to Turkey where they discover a crater in which descendants of the original Apostles have guarded the true cross of the crucifixion for 2,000 years.

Exhausted from their climb to the crater rim, the young men see the village long-concealed within. As Roger snaps one photo, an earthquake throws him back down the rock face they had just scaled. The trembler hurls Stuart into the interior of the crater; he barely survives. His presence poses a dilemma for the ancient community; their sole contact with the outside world has been through the descendants of Simon of Cyrene.

Roger and Stuart are missing; the only clue to their whereabouts is the photograph inside Roger’s shattered camera that finds its way back to Los Angeles. Bryce Brinkman and her scheming assistant Earl Cole, both satellite-imaging researchers, recover the digital photograph. Father Rafael Romero, renowned authority on Byzantine churches, studies the picture of the crater, and finds his diminishing faith challenged by the golden church at its center. Stuart’s Jewish girlfriend, Meredith Montgomery, conflicted by her attraction to Messianic Judaism, joins Stuart’s parents to form a third search party.

Unbeknownst to one another, the three search parties race across Turkey. While seismologists in Antarctica wrestle with whether to disclose foreknowledge of an impending earthquake, the monks guarding the cross see portents of an imminent, earth-shattering spiritual event. The trees surrounding the cross are bearing fruit for the first time in history, but is it the fruit of life or death?
